We can assist you with establishing your legal presence in Thailand, including the acquisition of your business visa, Work Permit, and permanent residence. We handle the application and processing of Work Permits and related issues under the jurisdiction of the Thai Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, the Ministry of Interior (Immigration Police), as well as other relevant Ministries.
Work Permits
The first step in obtaining a Work Permit is to obtain a proper Non-immigrant Class "B" Business Visa from a Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate outside of Thailand.
Work Permits are issued by the Alien Control Division of the Department of Employment, Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare.
Two entities are under scrutiny in the process of applying for a Work Permit: the applying company and the employee. We can provide you with full support in these matters.
It has to be noted that the visa process is entirely independent and unrelated from the procedure to obtain a Work Permit. A valid Work Permit does not guarantee the right to stay in Thailand, nor does a valid business visa guarantee the right to work in Thailand.
Depending upon the individual circumstances of the applicant and his employer, several additional supporting documents may have to be produced. These may concern details of the applying company (including registered capital, balance sheets, and tax records). The personal background of the applicant is also examined with regard to educational background and relevant work experience.
At Bangkok Base, we are experienced with all these procedures, and can expedite your registration process. |
